Catch Phrase 3 - RDTH / RDTF

Do you remember your first experiences of online chatting? The eagerness of having the greatest collection of emoticons (so much that you can't remember what you have), the excitement of meeting new people, and learning the lingo of the chatting world... Do you remember the times when you had so many things to chat about that you can do it all day?

I believe that we all need a new chatting experience. Online chatting wasn't as exciting as it used to be. You use only those particular emoticons, ignoring the large collection of yours; New contacts rarely appear; We don't chat as often anymore - even though you and I are online the entire day, we do not initiate a conversation, fearing the awkward moments of open ended conversations & how to end it in a nice way. Then of course the YAWAs appear (people whose status is constantly "Away", for whatever reason).

I believe a new lingo would spark that revival. That's why I have come up with a term to replace "LOL". That's right my friends. No more will you want to use "LOL". It has lost its meaning. It's not IN anymore. You no longer accept "LOL" as just a normal chatting lingo, a natural response, because over & over again it has been misused & abused. You chat with your colleague sitting 10 feet away from you & he types "LOL", but you don't really hear him laughing out loud, & you are confused. Maybe he's on silent mode (just vibrating on his chair), or he's just a fake, insincere person.

The new term is just as fake as "LOL" (people using that phrase even though they aren't really laughing out loud), but instead of questioning your sincerity, the person at the other end would be filled curiousity & interest in the new term. Instead of asking "Are you really laughing?", they would ask "Hey!! What's that?"... Bringing us all back to the times when we first started to learn the chatting lingo.

Ok. Enough of the hype. The new term to replace LOL is -

RDTH / RDTF = Rolling Down The Hill / Floor.

Go ahead, spread the word, tell your friends. Let the revival begin.

Catch Phrase (2)

I was going to post more blooper videos from the movie we made, Where There's Will, There's Wei... but somehow after 1 hour of uploading the video, the loading bar still showed 1%. Now I have to wait till 5.30pm (after office hours) to try uploading the video again... Arghh... Anyhow, it's a good opportunity to blog about the new catch phrase that I made up. Did you try to use the previous one? It's really good, you should try it...

This new one is seriously good. At least that's what I think lah... I tried it on several people, and they just gave me this you-are-so-lame stare. It's kinda long, so remember to give yourself a pat on the back when you manage to apply the catch phrase successfully. In fact, you should throw a party for yourself... Ok. You ready?? The new catch phrase is this:

"Sometimes I shit myself, and think that's the way it's suppose to be done"

Did you get that? Shit myself simple means shit in the pants lah... So it's like you've done something that's totally out of the ordinary or the social norm or political correctness or ABSOLUTELY CRAZY... then when you snap out of your momentary insanity, with everyone looking at you like you just shit your pants, say...

"Sometimes I shit myself, and think that's the way it's suppose to be done"

Alternatively, you could say something along the lines of "I'm sorry, I was out of line", "I don't know what I was thinking", or "Excuse me"... but where's the fun in that, right?? Right??
